Caranx hippos.- Jacks have an enormous ability to tolerate a very large variation in salinity. They are present in Curimataú river throughout the year. The largest can reach almost 30 Kgs/66 Lbs and are tricky to catch.  A clear… favourite !!

Snook/Robalo

Centropomus undecimalis.- They inhabit both salt and fresh water and are often found in coastal waters and estuaries, being very structure orientated.

They thrive in warm water and are extremely sensitive to temperature changes.

Snook average 1,5 to 6 kgs. ( 5 to 15 Lbs), however fish ranging from 20 to 30 Lbs is not unusual. Several fish close to 40 lbs have been landed.

Snook are very popular among anglers for their sporting quality as they put  tremendous battle when hooked.

Together with Tarpon, they form part of the “Saltwater Fly Fishing” grand slam..!!

Can reach 15 Kgs./33 Lbs. Splendid fighter and marvelous colors..!

Lutjanus cianopterus.- The cubera snapper is the largest species of snapper.- They forage near the bottom or in the vicinity of hard structures and can reach 50 Kgs/110 Lbs.
